In May of 2021, I started as the Graphic Design Intern at Babe Original.
Babe is a cosmetics company based in Dallas, TX.
As an intern, I worked remotely under the Senior Graphic Designer and specialized in design for social media. Most of the projects I worked on were for the Babe Original Instagram. I started with designing Instagram stories and in January 2022, I took over designing all feed posts.
One of the larger tasks I have done included developing a system of icons to be used primarily on the company’s website. In addition, I developed a more colorful set of icons that became a part of a sticker sheet included with orders. From there, some of the stickers were animated for use on social media, specifically Instagram stories.
As my responsibilities grew in this role, I began designing and editing video advertisements to run across social media. These advertisements ran in three different aspect ratios and were adjusted to three different audiences depending on the individual’s previous interactions with the brand, which helped me to determine the type of content to use to connect with each audience.
